The night is… still young.

I might be kidding myself regarding to the title above. I’m probably just trying to make the title to this post sound a wee bit more better and um… yeah.

I only had a sip of Heineken and Long Island, I swear. While Heineken tasted like how most beers would taste like-bitter-Long Island (did I hear right?) reminded me strongly of the bitter flavor of medicine. I blame the array of medicine I had to take during my childhood because I relate every single chemical/bitter tinge on my taste buds to the doses I’ve gotten before.

As for my outfit, sadly I’m not the kind who takes pictures. I know, pathetic right? Lets just say I wore a black blazer over a white layered top, black shorts with knee-high grey stockings and heels. Honestly I was rather satisfied with how I threw this look together because I actually had to do research. When it comes to fashion, I admit that I’m a bit on the thick side. I accessorized with a bird brooch that I really like, and that was it. Including my hair done up. Jason is right-it does take a lot of effort for me to do things like these.

So yes, it was my first experience at a real bar. A neighborhood bar! When music from The Beatles began to play, it felt really old school-I almost felt that the atmosphere could’ve been different if everyone played a part! Shi Ching and I took a sip of Long Island. We decided to order a Coke to share-simply because soft drinks were crazy expensive and we didn’t want to look like the odd ones out as every one was drinking. It went well, I had a good time watching them play a few rounds of cards. Very entertaining, I assure you.

Everyone looked so pretty tonight (and that also means you, Shi Ching!). It’s nice that we did this annual Chinese New Year gathering of sorts (always courtesy of Yi Ming, so thank you so much, love!) because it does keep us together somewhat as high school friends. It’s like something to hold on to, you get what I mean? And it felt good to see Yi Ming again. Fancy knowing you since Primary 4! Back then our lives pretty much sucked, and having you to lean on was the one thing I could count on. Here’s to yet another year of our long-standing friendship. (:

And yes, after chilling a bit at Kimberly’s house (she has a scary bed!) I’m now seated in the living room, with my laptop plugged into the cable for internet connection. No, my modem is still not fixed up (the wireless one) and so I’ve to rely on this method for now. Not as bad as having zip internet though. This is a vast improvement. Not only that, apart from changing into my house clothes, my shakily applied eyeliner is still on, my hair is still in its milkmaid braids (a hairstyle that I’ve been trying and liking it), I simply decided to sit down, and after finishing off some work, I chose to write this entry. Since my memory is still fresh from the fun and hilarity of our night, I just want to record this down, at least in words. I know my terrible memory will fail me soon enough, so having this online diary at times does have its perks.

Here ends this post. To my visitors who take time to read my entries, you have my gratitude. (: I will update this more, I promise!

The end of another chapter

Well, not officially yet, to be exact. But once again I must stress upon how time flies by when you’re paying it the least attention. I was barely aware of the passage of time last semester, merely intent upon my work and letting the days tick by. To be short, I was really oblivious, and hey presto, I’m at the middle of the semester, and suddenly that said semester is now over. This year has been especially hectic for me. Work and work and work. Kinda literally no play at all. Well I had my breaks and good times, but mostly it has been a tiring year so far. At times when I’m having a homework-free day, my thoughts wander involuntarily to my work at home.

I’m glad that I’m graduating soon. I feel excited to actually work and gain some good experience. Since I’ve never worked before. Seriously.

Visited KLCC with Hwee Lynn today. I think that the pianos are marvelous-and pricey. But to hear the melody from the keys are pretty rewarding, don’t you think? And crowded book fair was crowded. I can barely take a step back without treading on another person’s foot. All in all, not a favorite place to hang around at. It was reminiscent of the PC Fair-which was just as huge and stuffy. Things are definitely overpriced here-particularly books. I believe that one of the reasons people here don’t read much is due to the incredibly high prices of books. The taxes imposed upon them is quite unbelievable! I can only ogle at other countries as their books are affordable there…

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam airs tonight. Well Hwee Lynn and Victoria are watching, haha. Anyone else tuned to the Disney Channel tonight?

On another hand, Kuroshitsuji 2 ends in 2 more episodes. Don’t ask me how I figured it out; I simply happen to remember irrelevant things, my bad. (: I haven’t been keeping up with this season apart from skimming through discussions and reading the key events-some which transpired to be truly odd, amusing, disturbing and full of fanservice. Everyone’s into fanservice nowadays, just ask the people of Twilight. Jacob Black can take off his shirt and Edward can uh… (?) to boost ratings.

My semester starts again tomorrow. Lets hope the workload doesn’t increase further than last semester.

On a parting note, Dexter is awesome.

Thank you

Hwee Lynn

Simply for being there.

I know it’s just one sentence, and I cannot compare to that paragraph you wrote, but you’ve said everything I wanted to say.

Jason

Missing

Isn’t something missing?

-

Actually, yes. Many things.

I finally get to chat with Ethan online yesterday. (: And after talking for a moment did I realize that I really miss you. I’m serious, Ethan (Although you’re probably cracking up within). Talking with you causes me to reflect back on our high school days-which was very nostalgic and rewarding to think back on. I can never forget our random conversations about Kingdom Hearts, Naruto (beat Nicklaus for me okay? :D ) and just any other thing we can get a hold on! And I miss Ethan.fm! (Not too sure if Wan Li misses that though) Haha, you and Wan Li always make me laugh-in more ways than one! That’s one of the reasons why I miss 5 Batai 2007 so much. It’s because of you guys sitting in our row. I don’t know what could I do without you guys, seriously!

Really wish to see you in Malaysia soon. (: Nicklaus, Kelvin and Wan Li is waiting. Let’s catch up and talk crazy stuff again! Crash Nick’s house too, lol. I know you’re enjoying NZ, so continue to do so. (:

Now onto some other updates.

According to Variety.com, Justin Theroux who penned the script Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Six Feet Under (HBO) is going to do the Iron Man sequel. I thought Charlie’s Angels 2 was pretty (note: pretty) cool, but I didn’t watch Six Feet Under. We have to wait and see…

And oh noes, William Peterson is leaving the CSI franchise! D: But he will remain as executive producer on set.

*taken from Yahoo TV:

“Billy is leaving,” series executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said. “But he will remain throughout the run of the series an executive producer. And he will, whenever CBS asks, come back. I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Gil Grissom.”

“My biggest problem with leaving the show at any point isn’t leaving Grissom,” said Petersen, whose previous leave of absence came when he took five weeks off to do theater in Rhode Island. “I’m an actor, it’s time to do other things. “[The hard part will be saying goodbye] to the cast and crew. [So] I’m going to stay as involved as I’m allowed to be throughout the remainder of this show. Until they turn off all the lights.”

Sigh. First Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) and now William Peterson. I will really miss them. You can read the whole article here

The Dark Knight releases today, but whether will the Harry Potter trailer accompany its release is still an enigma. (:

Many things

Andrew and Tai Hoong said that Iron Man was cool. Oh no, now I have to watch it. Because explosions and flying gadgets tend to spark an interest, somehow. But it depends entirely on the movie as well. I really want to catch it in IMAX, for the full effect. I mean, I may not be a die-hard fan of Marvel or even Robert Downey Jr. for that matter, but I admit that the graphics look really cool (like his armor for instance) and all the flying. Not to mention the luxury cars in his garage! (: Hey Tony Stark isn’t the main reason why I plan to watch this movie, I’m not like that. But McDreamy is an exception. How on earth did he manage to make his hair so…. captivating is just unexplainable. Technically, he sort of dazzles people a la Edward. I still disagree with the choice of Robert Pattinson. (Hey another Robert in this post) I’m fine with everyone else-because I just don’t have any remark to make.

If you ask what music I currently listen to, I’m still stuck in limbo. Meaning that I’m really trapped in a time vortex. My playlist dates back to two years back-or more. I wonder where did my Linkin Park *cough*unoriginal*cough* CD went to. But my Clay Aiken CD is original. Our dad is in love with Leona Lewis. (: Can’t blame him though; she’s incredibly gorgeous with powerhouse vocals. Simon Cowell actually liked her to the end. You decide, if you have heard her song Bleeding Love.

I don’t know how this contestant on American Idol managed to remain on the show by popular vote even though she’d forgotten her lyrics and failed to pull it off professionally. If American Idol is turning into a show where you vote for your favorite (even though there are far better singers in the competition?) then what’s the point? I thought Carly deserved to stay.

I think Nicholas and I are still in mourning, haha. Although our candles must’ve fizzled out by now and the moment of silence has long passed by. Still, it was kind of sad and funny. We failed our driving but we can still joke and talk crap about it. Friends are great to have around. (: Thanks lots.

Catching ideas as they pass by

I want to buy all the books and make a library. I'm not taken, but maybe my soul is.
