Self-portrait

I’m quite sure a title like that would mean a photo of the said thing here. But then again, I’m still at the pencil sketching stage. When I’m done with the inking, I’ll post up a photo of it before coloring it with (ahem) designer gouache.

Busy busy

Oh, wait. We’re always busy. (:

I don’t know which should I do lately-this or that? It’s so hectic once more. What happened to that one week break? Suddenly everything is rushing in again.

Movieweb.com has posted up a bunch of Heroes spoilers! I’ve decided to post them again here.

Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. We see him rushed to hospital, where resuscitation attempts fail. “There was nothing we could do,” a doctor tells the family. I don’t believe it.

Looks like Elle (Kristen Bell) is going to be spending a bit of time sparring with Sylar this season.

Angela Petrelli introduces us to “Level 5″, a housing place for the most dangerous criminals in the world – rapists, arsonists, killers. Presumably this is where the band of Villains escape from.

Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.

New Villain ‘The Speedster’ steals something from Hiro and quips, “Gotta run.”

Is Sylar in league with Angela Petrelli? In one short clip he is seen approaching her from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.

Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. “The second coming is at hand,” he warns.

And, perhaps the most shocking tease of all: a big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts: “I’m not who you think I am. I’m Peter Petrelli…”

The third season of Heroes will premiere on September 15 on NBC.

It sounds interesting… but anyhow we still have a long time to go. Hopefully StarWorld will air it on the same time as NBC. The show’s website also has a couple of teaser trailers to go with

And oh yes! I’ve finally gotten my hands on Tony Diterlizzi’s Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide! I love his art. “love” is really an understatement here. I simply adore it! I can totally worship the ground Tony walks on right now. (:

And Stephenie Meyer’s website has another update: they’re going to post up Breaking Dawn quotes daily, sort of like a countdown teaser until the book finally releases on August 2. How mind-boggling. According to the site, people outside North America will have to wait until August 4 for the book! D: Is that actually injustice?

I’m doing Figures now, and Olivia Wilde is posing some difficulty. Hey Hugh Laurie was so much easier to draw okay.

Dead out.

Actually I’m really tired. Too tired to start on any assignments tonight, except for scouring for portrait images for Figures. I have to make my shades darker. I don’t want to be shoved into a blender either. D: But it doesn’t seem to be working so far…

Meeting Mrs. Ulliel tomorrow for this Indian exhibition at Midvalley. Would it be good? We’re praying that it will be worth our precious time.

Design Lecture 2 wasn’t as bad as I feared. It appeared that Candice and Reis liked my newly revamped ideas and had some different views on my creature, who is really called a galore (singular: galore, plural: galores). Had them by my side since I was 11 years old, and if any Batai-ans happens to see this post you would remember the dragon-like things I did for Mr. Phang’s retirement. (: So I just have to refine them and make them better. Oh dear, topping off with the letterforms, I’m completely booked for the weekend.

Spell

I can’t stop thinking about several things.

  • the load of assignments that continue to increase and I bet there’ll be some more today.
  • Drawing homework yesterday-due Monday. *yell*
  • more photos of letterforms. Oh no.
  • Robert Downey Jr. (: Probably the most optimistic thought right now.
  • Okami Official Complete Works-29th May. It’s partially positive though. Still a week away.

You know, Marie Digby is actually pretty relaxing to listen to. (: The albums Unfold, Iron Man OST and The Futurist are currently on my phone’s playlist. Music really gets you working-if it suits the mood.

It’s still so early!

Jason, how are you in Kampar? Skype is irritating me. Somehow. I haven’t registered for a username yet.

Thank you and congratulations

Firstly I would like to thank Ilina (with all my heart) and Hwee Lynn (of course I didn’t forget you!) for reading this… humble blog of mine. And yes, I actually woke up at 4:45a.m. this Friday morning because of the darn Figures Studies thing. And they still look sort of bad. I must plan my time more efficiently! Apparently my current planning isn’t working… as you can see. Blogging up right now must sound kind of insane.

Okay, so it isn’t “early May” it’s 29th of May. Is that early? It’s heading towards the end of the month! Nevermind, Cheri, patience.

Yuki and I went to pay the remaining fees finally yesterday, and we were quite taken aback by the person at the counter’s answer: pay RM50 for late payment. Of course we didn’t say anything there. When I told my dad, he literally flipped. And so did my mum. Apparently credit card companies charge you a late fee of RM5 only. That’s RM45 difference. And my dad is going to call them and ask them why ._. I don’t feel so good about this.

Gregory House/ Hugh Laurie is going to kill me. But he plays the piano excellently.

And here’s a congratulations to David Cook for winning the title of American Idol this year! You deserve it, okay. David Archuleta (is that spelled correctly?) you are really talented too, and getting there at second place is also good! Hope to hear from you guys soon, and may that be on the radio. (:

No way! I was doing Figures and watching American Idol on StarWorld last night when they suddenly aired this really hilarious performance of a female singer. No, the singer wasn’t being funny, she was being good. But the spotlight was on the three guys dancing behind her, old school style. Dressed in blue suits and red bow-ties (I think) are Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and last but not least (omg) Robert Downey Jr! Haha, they were hilarious! But the camera focuses more on Jack and Ben :/ in which they can’t sing. Robert can, really! They were so funny, that my mood was brightened momentarily. The things TV can do to you. Still smiling!

One down

Oh yes, I have accomplished another Figure drawing today. I spent the entire baking afternoon upstairs in my room attempting to sketch out the likeness of this pretty actress whose name I shall not disclose. Don’t feel the need to tell, because the final result is well… you know me.

Four more to go. Gambatte…

I am fretting if I can even complete those bookmarks for May Kuan in time. In a twist of events, my semester break turned out to be quite busy-if not filled with plans. And yes… our results for college, somehow the prospect of returning scares me.

Jason, we have to go out. I mean it. Amanda said that you are trying to fill your remaining weeks here with as much fun possible: so count me in. My laptop has no webcam functions for Pete’s sake so I have to see you at least once or twice before you head to that-really-far-yet-close-to-Taiping-Kampar. Now what I write sounds wrong, I mean, I made us sound like star-crossed lovers.

Sorry Nicholas, I have no pictures, yet. Yet. So watch this space. (:
